For the second time this season, Hutchinson Community College freshman placekicker Parker Grizzell broke a Blue Dragon single-game record for kickers.
For the second-straight week, the freshman from Maize was named the KJCCC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Grizzell kicked a school-record 54-yard field goal last Saturday in No. 2 Hutchinson's 24-0 road victory at No. 12 Butler. Earlier this season against Ellsworth, Grizzell tied a single-game scoring record for a kicker with 16 points (10 extra points and 2 field goals) in a 76-3 victory, Matching Michael Mesh.
Against the Grizzlies, Grizzell was 1 of 2 on field goals and 3 of 3 on extra-point placements to help the Blue Dragons reach 4-0 this season and 2-0 in the league.
Grizzell is the third Blue Dragon kicker to boot field goals of 50 yards or longer. Nestus Burger kicked a 50-yard field goal two seasons ago and Alejandro de la Poza kicked a 52-yard field goal last season.
Grizzell is the seventh different conference Player of the Week award this season.
