Frankie D. Bazil, 95, died February 23, 2021, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson.  He was born September 11, 1925, in Arkansas City, to Alvin Edgar and Lottie Arlene (Richardson) Bazil.

Frankie worked as a painter and material procurer for Boeing in Wichita.  He was a member of the International Machinists Union.  Frankie enjoyed researching genealogy, and pen and ink drawing.  Some of his proudest moments were working on Air Force One, Apollo 11, and a number of space artifacts at the Kansas Cosmosphere.  Frankie enjoyed watching his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews participate in school activities, especially sporting events.

Frankie is survived by:  children, Teresa Lehr (Dan) of Hutchinson, Micheal Bazil (Rhoda), Clifford Bazil, all of Arkansas City, Cheryl Woods of Wichita; brother, John Bazil (Gerry) of Arkansas City; sister, Lillian Bennett of New Caney, TX; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by:  his parents; son, Mark Bazil; twin brother, Francis; brothers, Clarence, Claude, Clyde, George, and Henry; and sisters, Mary Petersen and Ruby Beaty.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Arkansas City.  Private inurnment will be in Parker Cemetery, Arkansas City.
