Mary Elizabeth Troyer, 86, passed away February 9, 2022, at Hutchinson Health and Rehab. She was born July 25, 1935, in Hutchinson, to Dick and Lizzie (Yutzy) Kaufman.
Mary enjoyed cooking, sewing, and playing board games. She was a homemaker, farmer, and owned a grocery store in Yoder. Mary was a member of Journey Mennonite Church at Yoder, and served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.
On June 2, 1957, she married Ray W. Troyer, at the Yoder Mennonite Church. They shared over 64 years of marriage.
Mary is survived by: her husband, Ray W. Troyer of South Hutchinson; sons, Loren (Stephanie) Troyer of Angola, IN, and Timothy L. (Maria) Troyer of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Madison Troyer, Max Troyer, Matt Harding, and Miles (Becky) Harding; great-grandchildren, Kendall, Colton, and Keira Harding; sisters, Fannie Mae Bontrager, Joyce (Larry) Parcell, Marilyn (John) Carmen, and Carolyn (Jim) Hartman; and sister-in-law, Barb Kaufman.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Kenneth Troyer; and a brother, Dick Kaufman.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2022, at Journey Mennonite Church, 3605 E. Long View Road, Haven, with Pastors Eric Miller and Judy Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Yoder Cemetery located next to the church. Friends may sign the book from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary, and from 10 a.m. to service time, Monday, February 14, 2022, with the family present at the church.
