The most heartbreaking cases we handle are those where an animal has been surrendered due to an owner moving into a nursing home or dying or being hospitalized, etc.

It’s such a shock for these animals- especially the older ones that have known nothing but tender loving care their entire lives and all of a sudden are stuck in a cage.
Scar is the perfect example of that. He is SUCH an amazing cat!
He’s only been in the shelter for short time and we are totally in love with him !
