Hutchinson, Kan. — Online voting is now open for Kansas State Fair’s new battle of the bands event, “Rock the Fair.”
Each person is allowed to vote ONCE on the Kansas State Fair website, between now and April 24th. More than 30 bands of all different genres and locales are vying for the opportunity to play live at the Kansas State Fairgrounds.
The top ten bands, selected through online voting and a judges’ panel, will perform in a semi-final round on Saturday, June 25th at the Kansas State Fairgrounds during the Fair Food and Tunes event. After judging and scoring in the semi-final round, the top 5 bands will face off on Friday, September 9th during the fair at the Nex-Tech Grandstand.
Prizes will be awarded to the top bands as follows:
First Place: $2,000
Second Place: $1,000
Third Place: $500
