Case count back to February levels at 172 as of Monday

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The case count for COVID-19 continues upward in Reno County. The number of cases as of Monday afternoon is at 172, up from 131 on Friday and 92 on the previous Monday.

The last time the county had this many cases was in the week immediately following Valentine's Day.

The Hutchinson Regional Medical Center has seven COVID patients currently out of 64 total patients. Three ventilators are in use and 12 total patients are in critical care for all purposes.

Hospital staff intend to speak to the Board of County Commissioners at their meeting Tuesday morning about the situation.
