Louvina Mae Miller, 88, of Whitewater, slipped peacefully into eternity on May 14, 2022. Besides the treasured titles of Wife, Mom, and Grammy, she also enjoyed her work as a registered nurse, library assistant, welder’s helper, and restaurant hostess. She was born September 17, 1933, in Newton, to Alfred H. and Ione M. (Ayers) Regier.
A child of the Great Depression, Lou learned to value hard work, financial responsibility and frugality, and faith in the God of her Fathers. She is survived by children Nancy and Scott Yelland of Fairview, Michigan; Randy and Lynette Miller of Peck; Debby Tyson of Whitewater; Wanita and Skip Kiser of Robertsdale, Alabama; Craig and Jan Miller of Wichita; 18 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren; dozens of nieces and nephews; innumerable friends.
A celebration of Lou’s life will be held at Emmaus Mennonite Church, Whitewater, on May 28; interment will be in the old church cemetery at 10 a.m., memorial service at 11:30 a.m.
