Police: Man charged in robbery, murder at Kansas home

WYANDOTTE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a shooting death have identified the victim as 58-year-old Kevin Rogers.

Just after 4p.m. Friday police responded to a home in the 800 Block of Barnett in Kansas City, Kansas and found Rogers dead from a single gunshot wound, according to police spokesperson Nancy Chartrand.

The suspect later identified as Curtis Lee Stacker, 45, Kansas City, Kansas, fled the scene on foot.  Officers took him into custody a short time later.

Stricker is being held on a $400,000 bond on requested charges of first-degree murder, attempted aggravated robbery, criminal in possession of a weapon by a felon and a probation violation.
