Changes continue to Uptown Hutch.
In a post on its Facebook page, Uptown Hutch announced the interior portion of the mall will close beginning March 23 as the property transitions to what it described as a “new shopping experience.”
According to the post, exterior storefronts will remain open and accessible to customers during the transition. Management said shoppers will still be able to visit the retailers located on the outside of the property.
Two merchants that were in the interior of the mall have relocated to locations on the outside of the mall on the west side. Bath and Body Works had their opening on Feb. 27, and most recently Buckle opened on the exterior on March 9. Maurices is scheduled to close on the interior of the mall on March 21 and will reopen on the exterior west side on March 28.
Famous Footwear will be closing on March 21 and will not reopen. Their closest location is in Newton. Another merchant Selectell Wireless has relocated to downtown Hutchinson.
