HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation is inviting artists and fair enthusiasts to submit designs for the third annual Kansas State Fair T-shirt contest, with entries accepted through March 29.
The contest, now in its third year, offers both adult and youth divisions. One adult winner will have their design featured on official merchandise sold at the Kansas State Fair in 2026, while a youth winner will see their design produced on a Foundation-selected item.
Foundation organizers say the contest continues to showcase the creativity and community pride tied to the fair.
After submissions close, a selection committee will narrow entries down to five finalists. Those designs will then move on to a public voting phase on the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation’s Facebook page. Voting will run through April 29, with the winning design determined by the number of “likes” received.
Winners will be announced May 1 in the Foundation’s First Friday E-Update.
In addition to having their designs produced, the top three vote-getters in each division will receive a Kansas State Fair prize package.
Proceeds from merchandise sales tied to the contest will support ongoing improvements and renovation projects at the historic Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.
