Joann Ilene Danley, 90, went to be with the Lord May 30, 2021 at Pratt Health and Rehab Center.

She was born January 13, 1931 in Pratt to William Everett and Hallie Pearl (Alexander) Baker.

Joann married Stanley D. Petrie, May 12, 1951. They were married for 27 years.

She married Lawrence A. Danley May 18, 1985 in Pratt, Kansas. Lawrence passed away April 26, 1991.

Joann graduated Pratt High School in 1949. She worked for the Clerk of the District Court of Pratt County.

Her faith in God was always an important part of her life and she was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Church, where she taught children's Sunday School and played the piano for worship services. Joann had a heart for volunteer service and was a member of PRMC Hospital Auxiliary, helped with the Pratt County Fair through Cairo EHU and was a lifetime member of Glendale Mother's Club. She was a founding member and the first president of the South Central Special Education Cooperative, which worked to bring special education into public schools. Gardening and raising flowers was something she enjoyed, along with playing cards, especially pitch.

She is survived by Daughter, Patricia (Roger) Shippy of Pratt, KS; Sons, David Petrie of Pratt, Daniel (Mary) Petrie of Garden City, KS, Brother, Garry Baker of Stafford, KS; Sister, Darlene Mayberry of Weatherford, TX; Two Step Sons, Keith (Laticia) Danley of AZ, Tim (Laurel) Danley of Rapid City, SD; and Step Daughter, Pricilla Danley; .

She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a soon to arrive great, great grandson, 9 step grandchildren, 11 step great grandchildren.

Joann is preceded in death by her two Husbands, Stanley D. Petrie and Lawrence A. Danley; her Father, William Everett Baker; Mother, Hallie Pearl Baker; a son Raymond Petrie and brothers Everett and Clyde Baker.

Visitation will be Wednesday 9:00 am to 8:00 pm with family receiving friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Larrison Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt, with Pastor Doug Enick presiding. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
