Franklin Eugene Lunsford, 67, passed away on September 23, 2021 at Hospice House, Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born on April 17, 1954 the son of Stanley and Laura ( Sneary) Lunsford. Franklin attended Bazine, Kansas high school. He joined the United States Navy and was discharged with military honors. Franklin loved driving semi trucks, collecting eagle decorations. He was the baby of his family, and was a dirt track race car driver when he was younger, and both him and his Mother were Nascar fans. Franklin would do anything for his family, he was caring and loved his family.
Survivors include: his wife, Tammie; daughter, Laura Hooker; son, Christopher Lunsford; stepsons, James ( Bonnie) and David Sharp, and Nathan Tacy; stepdaughter, Melissa ( Stuart) Janzen, several grandchildren; brothers, David ( Vicki) Lunsford of Kansas City and Terri ( Janet) Lunsford of Parsons, Ks; sister, Frances ( Rick) Shorr of Las Vegas, Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death: his parents, Stanley Wendell and Laura Eugenia ( Sneary) Lunsford; stepson Joshua Tacy; and granddaughter, Gracie.
Cremation will take place and a graveside service is pending and will be announced later.
