IRVING, Texas – Dominic Voegele was named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season, the conference office announced on Monday.

Voegele pitched seven dominant shutout innings and struck out six with no walks to help Kansas win on the road 3-0 at No. 14 West Virginia. He retired the first eight batters of the game and cruised through the first three innings. In both the fourth and fifth innings, West Virginia had a runner in scoring position with one out and Voegele navigated his way around it both times. Voegele earned his seventh win of the season and sixth quality start of the year.

The Columbia, Illinois, native has gone at least six innings in each of his last four starts.
