HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Marcia Regehr of Hillsboro has been named the $4,000 grand prize winner of the USA 250 Giveaway, sponsored by Heartland Credit Union and Stutzmans Greenhouse.
Regehr’s winning entry was submitted at Heartland Credit Union. She said she entered the contest about 10 times at several participating locations throughout the promotion.
Daren Dunn of My 93.1 surprised Regehr with the news by phone.
“No, I can’t believe it,” Regehr said after learning she had won. “That’s unbelievable.”
Regehr said she plans to use some of the prize money to pay bills while saving some for entertainment.
“I can pay off some bills and have a little fun, too,” she said.
The giveaway also featured six weekly $1,000 winners: Deb McNew, Robert Tibbits, Antonio Blancarte, Madison Carithers, Brennon Good and Marilyn Graham.
McNew, Blancarte and Graham entered at Heartland Credit Union. Tibbits entered at Hog Wild Pit BBQ, Carithers entered online and Good entered at Hoover’s Small Engine Service & Repair.
