WICHITA, Kan. — The Hutchinson Monarchs will take on the Santa Barbara (Calif.) Foresters in the NBC World Series championship game at Eck Stadium on the campus of Wichita State University. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.

This is the first-ever championship game appearance for the Monarchs, while the Foresters make their 13th title game appearance. The Foresters have won three consecutive NBC World Series titles, and have won 20 straight games at the tournament over the past four years. The Foresters are averaging over nine runs a game during that span, while allowing just over one and a half. The last loss for the Foresters at the NBC World Series was in 2019, when they fell 5-0 to the Seattle Studs.&nbsp;
