Emily Rozan Wilson, 86, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson, KS.
Rosie was born September 12, 1934, in Little River, KS, the daughter of Lemuel R. and Ruth T. (Bates) Hendrickson. On May 10, 1952, she married Robert (Bob) Wilson, to this union they were blessed with four children, Robert Jr., James, Mark and Christina.
Rosie was a native of Little River and then moved to San Diego, CA. when she and Bob were married. They later moved back to Hutchinson where they raised their children. She loved working in her garden and baking for her family. Rosie worked for the Hutchinson Library and retired after 19 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step- father, Marvin F. Naylor; son, Robert L. Wilson Jr.; two sisters, Marjorie Stiggins and Twila Elmore and three brothers, Lee Hendrickson, Jim Hendrickson and Donnie Hendrickson.
Rosie is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter, Christina R. Wilson of Mexico, NY; two sons, James W. Wilson and Mark R. Wilson both of Hutchinson; one daughter-in-law, Susan Wilson of Ozora, MO; one sister, Beverly Mauer of Smithville, MO; eight grandchildren, Benjamin Frasier of Brooklyn, NY, Nicholas Frasier of Broomfield, CO, Jacob Frasier of Buffalo, NY, Grace Frasier of Mexico, NY, Thomas Wilson of Ketchikan, AK, Sarah Vaeth of St. Genevieve, MO, Brandon Parker of Sapulpa, OK, and Jay Wilson of, New Offenburg, MO; three great grandchildren, Kynnadie Rose and Brooklyn Weibrecht and Jaiden Wilson.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 12, 2021, at First Church of the Nazarene, 4290 N. Monroe St., Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Kent Pedersen officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., with family present to greet friends from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS. Mask wearing is appreciated and will be provided. Burial will take place in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hutchinson Public Library or Hospice of Reno County and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
