HUTCHINSON, Kan. — After being brought to a standstill due to the weather, the North Main construction work is underway again. Work crews began tearing out the east side of the intersection at 7th and Main.
Work will move in small sections to the south eventually getting to East 5th Avenue. The work will include new curb, gutter and sidewalks.
Once that work is completed, the entire street will be milled and then overlaid from 13th to 5th. The completion of this section of Main will end the four-year-long construction of the street that started at 30th Avenue.
