Arlyn Frank Tonn, long-time Haven resident, passed away Friday, June 24, at Salem Home, Hillsboro, at the age of 92. He was born July 25, 1929, to Frank and Laura (Stade) Tonn at their home near Haven.
Arlyn received his education at St. Paul's Lutheran School, Haven, and the public schools in Haven.
On June 19, 1949, he married Juanita Fern Schroeder at Trinity Lutheran Church, Clara, Texas. The couple had two children, Arleen and Gary.
Arlyn was primarily an agribusiness man, who enjoyed working side by side with Juanita on their farms.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Haven, and a former member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.
Arlyn is survivied by daughter, Arleen (Larry) Smith, Burrton; son, Gary Tonn, Haven; five grandchildren, Jennifer McClain, Halstead, Kristopher England, Bentley, Jessica (Cameron) Koster, Buhler, Jordan (Justin) Seuser, Hutchinson, and William (Kara) Tonn, Hutchinson; eleven great-grandchildren, Madison and Matthew McClain, Ava, Audrey, Asher, and Axton Koster, Quinn, Jett, and Wells Seuser, and Maverick and Noah Tonn; three nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; siblings, Laurence Tonn, Frances Meinig, Art Tonn, Ellen Hofford, and Walter Tonn; grandson, Matthew Tonn; and two nephews.
Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m., with family present from 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, at Ott Funeral Home, Haven. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Haven, Thursday, June 30, at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Quentin Nuttmann presiding. Burial will be immediately after the service at the church cemetery.
