HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Cosmosphere and Hutchinson Community College are collaborating on a summer professional development course for teachers.
The Botany and Space Exploration course is funded by a grant from Evergy.
With recommendations to engage students in creative discussion and hands-on activities, education professionals can immerse themselves in exciting topics including the history of aquaculture, food waste on Earth, and how to feed a colony on Mars.
The six-course program can be completed at your own pace within a 90-day window.
The cost of the course, which provides one Professional Development credit, or .5 Continuing Education credit is just $120.
