Larry C. Miller, 79, of Newton, Kansas, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021. He was born October 17, 1941 in Harper, Kansas, the son of Norman and Ruth (Stutzman) Miller.

He was a graduate of Attica High School and Hesston College.

Larry was a lifelong resident of Crystal Springs. He was a farmer and mechanic, working alongside his father at Miller Machine Shop, developing the same skills and abilities as his father. Larry was sensitive, intelligent, a good worker, creative and had good mechanical aptitude. They both had the ability to create, build, or modify machines to perform certain jobs/tasks better and more efficiently. He eventually took ownership of the shop and changed the name to Crystal Springs Machine Shop.

Our family is grateful for Larry’s friends and neighbors in the Crystal Springs community who looked out for him and alerted us when Larry began having difficulties with dementia.

Larry is survived by his sister, Margaret (Harold) Winsinger of Hesston; brother, Keith (Lois) Miller of Edwardsburg, Michigan; niece, Brenda (Bruce) Eitzen of Hesston; nephews, Randy (Christy) Winsinger of Dunnellon, Florida, Bradden (Kristen) Miller of Anacortes, Washington, and David (Lindsay) Miller of Granger, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Ruth Miller.

Cremation is planned with private services and inurnment to be held later at Crystal Springs Cemetery, Harper, Kansas. Miller-Ott Funeral Home in Hesston is handling the arrangements.
