Darlene Glazer, 90, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at her home in McPherson, with her husband Mike and family by her side.
Darlene was born in Wamego, on May 28, 1932. She was the only the daughter of Orval and Viola (Nye) Sims.
She graduated Wamego High School in 1949. Darlene spent her life caring for her family and her home. In her free time, Darlene spent her time as an artist. She attended many classes over the years to learn sculpting, carving and jewelry making. In addition, Darlene was an animal lover, talented seamstress, and enjoyed many trips taken with her husband and family. On July 12, 1968, Darlene married Michael Glazer in Manhattan. He survives of the home.
She is also survived by two sons, Steven W. Bailey and Michael L. Bailey (Cheryl); three daughters, Robin Bailey, Katrina D. Massengale (Keith), and Jennifer Umscheid (Dwight); 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tom Sims; and a grandson, Sandy Bailey.
Cremation has been chosen with the family choosing to hold a celebration of life at a later date.
