I. Dolores Troyer, 89, passed away April 3, 2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born July 6, 1931, in Quinter, KS, the daughter of John and Frances (Depperschmidt) Wagoner.

Dolores attended Hutchinson High School. She was a homemaker and also worked for Southwestern Bell, Wiley’s Home Fashions, NJCAA basketball tournament, Kansas State Fair, and Reno County elections. In addition, Dolores was co-owner of Showalter Oil Company in Yoder. She enjoyed volunteering for the Sky Ryder’s Drum and Bugle Corps, Hutchinson Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, RSVP, and Fox Theatre. Dolores was a member of Heart of Kansas Quilt Guild, American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Unit #68, and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.

On June 18, 1949, she married Leroy V. Troyer, in Hutchinson. He died March 26, 2003, after sharing almost 54 years of marriage.

Survivors include: son, John (Karen) of Hutchinson; daughters, Linda Gronewaller of Chandler, OK, Nancy (Jerry) Stearns of Oklahoma City, OK, and Dr. Mary Brummett of Cuchara, CO; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren.

Dolores was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; sons-in-law, Roger Gronewaller and Glenn Brummett; two brothers, Robert and John Wagoner; three sisters, Evelyn Partridge, Marcella Wennihan, and Lucella Wagoner; and one granddaughter, Tonya Kahrs.

Rosary will be 7 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson, with Father Charles Seiwert officiating both the Rosary and Mass. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet friends following the Rosary.

Both the Rosary and Mass will be live-streamed.
