ATCHISON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating alleged counterfeiting in northeast Kansas have a suspect in custody.
On March 20, police arrested 28-year-old Robert B. Lynch of Atchison, on a District Court warrant for counterfeiting currency and theft, according to police chief Mike Wilson.
The arrest is in connection to a $100 counterfeit bill used in a transaction at a business in Atchison December 17.
Lynch remains jailed on requested charges of counterfeiting; retail value $25,000 or more; 1,000 or more items bearing marks; or 3rd or sub.violation, according to online jail records.
