⚾️ Monarchs sweep Wichita 316 Elite on Cancer Awareness Night

HUTCHINSON, Kan.—The Hutchinson Monarchs baseball team completed a 4 game sweep of the Wichita 316 Elite with a 15-0 run rule shut out on Saturday night.  
While doing so, the also helped raise funds for the Cancer Council of Reno County on the Monarchs Cancer Awareness Night.

The big inning came in the Monarchs 5th inning when Hutch sent 18 hitters to the plate.  The flood gates opened up scoring 12 runs in the inning to take control of the ball game.  It total 18 different Monarchs saw action with pitcher Will Maynard getting the win on the mound.

Jon Jenkins and Hunter Audrey both contributed 3 RBI's apiece while the Monarchs pounded out 12 hits.

Hutchinson, now 9-3 had 3 run rule victories in the 4 games they played with 316 Elite. Totally runs scored in the series was 55 runs over 25 innings.

The Monarchs will have 2 days off as several players have family in for father's day weekend.  Next action will be on Tuesday in Derby vs the Derby Twins.  The next Monarch home game will be on Wednesday, June 22nd vs the Derby Twins.  That game will again be streamed on Hutchpost.com.
