The Hutchinson Community College women's soccer team is looking continue what it started in 2024.

The Blue Dragons advanced all the way to the Region 6 Tournament championship match last season and finished No. 14 in the final NJCAA Division I Rankings.
&nbsp;
With six total players returning from an 11-2-7 campaign in 2024, the Blue Dragons were No. 15 in the 2025 NJCAA Division Preseason Rankings released on Monday.
&nbsp;
This is the third-straight season the Blue Dragons were in the preseason NJCAA rankings. That extends a program-long streak for being ranked in the national preseason poll. The 2023 Blue Dragon started the season at No. 18 and the 2024 Blue Dragons were ranked No. 20 in the preseason poll. This is the seventh time in program history Blue Dragon women's soccer has been a preseason nationally ranked team.

Hutchinson is one of three Jayhawk Conference teams to be ranked in the 2025 preseason national rankings.
&nbsp;
Defending Region 6 champion Cowley is No. 7, Butler is No. 11 and the Blue Dragons are No. 15.

The Blue Dragons will open the 2025 regular season with a Top 20 national matchup as No. 12 Trinity Valley comes to Hutchinson to play at the Salthawk Soccer Complex on Monday, August 25.

The Blue Dragons were supposed to play their first preseason scrimmage on Tuesday at Allen Community College, but field conditions forced the postponement of that match and no reschedule date has been set yet.

The KJCCC Preseason Coaches' Poll will be released on Tuesday.
