Philip Miller Ziegler, 85, of Hutchinson, Kansas died October 4, 2020, at Legends of Hutchinson. He was born January 10, 1935, in Oakley, Kansas, to Tony and Margaret (Miller) Ziegler.

Philip graduated from Oakley High School in 1952, and attended Regis College in Colorado. He was General Manager for Kansas Farmers Service Association. Philip touched many lives with his sense of humor. He was a devoted father and husband, setting a meaningful example for his family. Philip was a hard worker who taught his children to do the same. He loved sports and was an enthusiastic KU, Royals, and Chiefs fan, and he drove many hours over the years to watch his own children play sports. Philip was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.

On November 22, 1956, he married Agnes Marie Kaiser in Grainfield, Kansas. They shared 63 years of marriage together.

Philip is survived by wife, Agnes Ziegler, Hutchinson, Kansas; son, Jim Ziegler (Lori Usher), Wichita, Kansas; daughter, Doris Podany (Tom), Wisner, Nebraska; daughter, Wanda Newton (Scott), Pulaski, Tennessee; son, Wayne Ziegler (Jenny), Dripping Springs, Texas; sisters, Delphine Malone, California, and Loretta Beckman, Colorado; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leo Ziegler; sisters, Agnes Young, Marci Mues, and Irene Zerr; and grandson, Clint Ziegler.

Cremation has taken place. Due to restrictions surrounding the coronavirus there will be no services at this time. Please visit the Elliott Mortuary website to leave condolences for the family.
