WICHITA — Though no official advisories are issued for Thursday, the National Weather Service office in Wichita did note that heat index values are likely to reach or top 100 degrees in much of the state.Please check on small children and pets and be sure plenty of water is available if doing outdoor activities Thursday afternoon. Thursday will be the hottest feeling day so far in 2021, but it should be short-lived, with conditions improving on Friday.
