Eileen Galliart |1936-2022|

Eileen Galliart, 85, formerly of Hutchinson, died April 6, 2022, at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, Buhler.  She was born April 25, 1936, in Spring Hill, to James Walter and Lora Marie (Wikoff) Arnold.

Eileen graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1954.  She retired from Peel’s Beauty Supply after over 40 years of service as the executive secretary and accounts receivable manager.  In addition, she sold Mary Kay cosmetics.  Eileen enjoyed gardening, and volunteering, especially at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, and she was an active member of Altrusa since 1972.  Eileen was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Doers Sunday school class, and Sanctuary Choir.

On July 9, 1954, she married Glen Galliart (just two months after her high school graduation), at Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.  He died March 13, 2013, after sharing almost 59 years of marriage.

Eileen is survived by:  son, John Galliart (Donna) of Wichita; grandchildren, Todd Galliart (Melissa), Kyle Galliart (Rebekah), Tyler Galliart, and Jessica Galliart; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jonathan, Ava, Clarissa, Elizabeth, and Amber; sisters-in-law, Joan Arnold and Janice Arnold; and 22 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; brothers, James, Robert, William “Bill”, Norman, and Loran; and sister, Evalyn Huber.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 17th and Main, Hutchinson, with The Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating.  Inurnment will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.  Friends may sign her book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary.  The family will greet friends from 10:00 until service time Saturday at the church.
