HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Oklahoma continued to hold its lead during the third round of the Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship at Prairie Dunes Country Club. The Sooners have an overall score of 284 (-2) after 54 holes and have four golfers within the top 10.
Oklahoma shot a 4-over par 284 in the third round while Texas Tech (279, +9) moved into second place firing a 1-under 279 on Tuesday. Texas jumped up two spots to third after recording the day’s lowest single-round score of 275 (-5).
Texas Tech’s Ludvig Aberg, the No. 2-ranked NCAA men’s golfer, tied the lowest single-round score in Championship history as he shot 7-under 63 to take the top spot on the leaderboards. He also set the Championship’s lowest 54-hole score at 196 (-14) after three consecutive rounds shooting under par OSU’s Jonas Baumgartner sits second (203, -7) while UT’s Brian Stark (208, -2) is tied for third with OU’s Patrick Welch.
The final 18 holes will be played on Wednesday with twosomes starting off both the No. 1 and No. 10 tees. Live coverage on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ will begin at 10:30 a.m. CT/11:30 a.m. ET with Ryan Burr and Carl Paulson as talent.
An awards ceremony will be conducted at the conclusion of play.
