
UPDATE: A few items have been moved off of Tuesday's meeting agenda for the Board of County Commissioners. According to the amended agenda provided to Hutch Post Monday afternoon, the health plan performance, compensation policy and architect additional work proposal for the courthouse dome have all been put off until the May 10 meeting. The meeting will still take place at 9 a.m. at the Reno County Annex.
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — An update on the aftermath of the Haven gas plant explosion will be given by Reno County Emergency Management Director Adam Weishaar as part of Tuesday's Board of County Commissioners meeting.
Also on the agenda is budget requests from the Arts and Humanities Council, Hutchinson Recreation Commission, Reno County EMS, Horizons Mental Health and the Reno County Museum along with StartUp Hutch and TECH.
In addition, Reno County DA Tom Stanton will be in for a proclamation for National Crime Victims' Rights Week.
A Request for Qualifications for the proposed Sheriff's Office gun range is also to be discussed.
The commission will also hear about its health plan performance for 2021, and give final approval to its compensation policy.
The commission is also set to approve the additional engineering for the more extensive concrete repairs to the courthouse, get its yearly communications update and go over CIP projects for the 2023 to 2027 budget years.
The Board of Reno County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Reno County Annex.
