Sheriff: 2 from Rice County hospitalized after crash

BARTON COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just after 5:30p.m. Monday in Barton County.

A 1993 Ford F-150 driven by Alan Foust of Geneseo was northbound on NE 10th Avenue at NE 100th Road, according to sheriff Brian Bellendir.

The driver failed to yield right-of-way and struck the driver side and trailer being towed by a westbound 2018 Nissan Titan and driven by Jeffrey Jacobs of Hoisington.

The Nissan rolled and came to rest on its wheels. Jacobs and a passenger in the F150 identified as Diana Helm also of Geneseo, both received non-life-threatening injuries. EMS transported them to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington, according to Bellendir.  The sheriff's office reported no additional details.
