HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The No. 15 Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team picked up a thrilling 99-94 overtime victory over Southwestern Christian College (Tex.) on Friday at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
Jaquez Thornton scored a career-high 28 points to help lead the Blue Dragons to the win. Isaiah Jackson finished with 15, Bobby Cannon 15, DJ Dudley 13, and Aidan Wing 10.
Southwestern Christian knocked down 11 three-pointers, including five by Carson Brown. Brown led the Rams with 36 points in the loss.
The Blue Dragons are now 2-0 on the season and will face Labette on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. inside the Sports Arena, as part of the BSN Sports Tip-Off Classic.
