Wednesday on Phone Forum, a caller asked about delays in trash pick up in Hutchinson.
We reached out to Stutzman's refuse, and were told it was a "perfect storm".
Because of last Monday's holiday routes were pushed back a day. So trash that would have been picked up on Friday, those routes were moved to Saturday. Because of the winter storm, they were unable to pick up trash from those customers, and they don't have the fleet to pick up two days of routes on the same day.
Stutzman's tells us that they will get the refuse picked up on Friday of this week. They also said that if you have extra trash, you can place the bags next to the polycart or on top of it and they will pick it up this Friday.
