HUTCHINSON, Kan. — More than 100 Reno County families will have a better Thanksgiving after the Carey Park Golf Course Frozen Turkey Scramble golf event netted more than $7,500.
The funds raised will buy food boxes to feed between six and eight people. Requests are now being taken and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. If you know of a family that might be in need, you can drop their name off at the Carey Park clubhouse.
If you are asking for assistance, you can contact the golf course at 694-2698 and provide your name, address and phone number. This is for Reno County residents only.
Volunteers will be handing out the meal bundles after 12 noon on Monday. This will be contactless delivery, but they need to make sure the food will be taken inside, so they ask that you be ready for delivery.
