HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Country music trio Voth is bringing family harmonies, original songs and a personal connection to Hutchinson to the Kansas State Fair.
The Tulsa, Oklahoma-based group consists of siblings Caleb, Hannah and Cody Voth, who have performed together for nearly two decades. Their music combines the sound of 1990s country with influences such as Lady A and Little Big Town.
The group will be performing on the Lake Talbot stage at 6 p.m.
“We’ll play covers, we’ll play originals, we’ll play songs people know and then new ones that people hopefully will,” the group said during an interview ahead of its Lake Talbott performance.
This marks Voth’s third year performing at the Kansas State Fair. The siblings said their family’s Hutchinson roots make each visit especially meaningful. Their grandparents met at a school dance while attending fifth grade in Hutchinson.
The trio has even written an unreleased song inspired by Hutchinson and the story of its great-grandparents. Fairgoers will have an opportunity to hear the song during the performance.
Voth said its concerts feature plenty of interaction with the audience, and the siblings plan to meet fans following the show.
The group released its album, “Memories of You,” last year. The siblings described the project as nostalgic country music meant to remind listeners of meaningful moments from their lives.
“We wanted to put out an album that you could roll the windows down and just go, ‘I remember that moment,’” the group said.
Voth has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry’s WSM Radio and Circle TV. The trio has also signed a global publishing agreement with Warner Chappell Music and launched The Soundup Club in its hometown.
When not on the road, the siblings lead worship at Church 3434 in Tulsa.
“It’s country music on Fridays and Saturdays and church on Sunday,” the group said.
