BUHLER — Buhler USD 313 Superintendent Cindy Couchman said the district is helping with a food drive later this month.
"This is something that Erica Shook, our Ad Astra Virtual Academy director came up with," Couchman said. "She has a huge sleigh. I mean, it's big. I've never seen anything like it. She sent me a picture of it. The idea is to stuff it with food. That big sleigh is going to be parked at Midway Motors December 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We encourage people to drop off food into the sleigh. The idea is to stuff it with food. That's going to benefit the Buhler Food Bank and the Reno County Food Bank."
A similar event is being held by the Academy in McPherson as well on Thursday, December 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 201 East Euclid in McPherson. Food from that event will go for the McPherson County Resource Council Food Basket Program.
