
HUTCHINSON AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Aviation enthusiasts, families, and car lovers alike are invited to the Hutchinson Regional Airport Fly-In and Open House on Saturday, May 3rd, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The event is free to the public and promises a day filled with exciting aircraft demonstrations, a classic car show, delicious food, and family-friendly activities.
The day kicks off with a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser hosted by EAA Chapter 88 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM, giving attendees the perfect way to fuel up before a day of aviation fun.
Throughout the event, attendees will have the chance to experience the thrill of aviation up close with featured aircraft, including the B-25 Mitchell "Super Rabbit," P-51 Mustang "Miss America," AC-47 "Spooky" Gunship, and more.
The schedule also includes a weather balloon launch, a Tanker 95 water drop demonstration, and an airplane demo. A highlight of the day is the Young Eagles Program, offering free flights for kids ages 8-17, provided by EAA Chapter 88.

In addition to the aviation activities, a car show presented by Downtown Hutchinson Rod Run will showcase a variety of vehicles, with awards announced at 2:30 PM.
Local food trucks, including Russ and Annies, Shurley Concessions, Giuseppes Jr, Los Mariachis, Stretch’s BBQ, and Anchor Grill, will be on-site, serving up delicious options for attendees.
Adding to the excitement, Country 102.9 and My 93.1 will be broadcasting live from the event, bringing music, interviews, and updates throughout the day.
Car parking is available at the Airport Terminal Building and just north of 11th and Airport Rd.
