Several area high school football teams remain among the state's best as KSHSAA Covered released its latest rankings heading into Week 6 of the 2026 season.
Sterling (5-0) continues to hold the No. 1 spot in Class 1A, while Inman (4-1) remains at No. 3. In Class 3A, unbeaten Hesston (5-0) holds steady at No. 3, and Haven (5-0) remains fifth in Class 2A.
McPherson (4-1) rounds out the Class 4A top five, while Buhler (3-2) is among the other teams receiving consideration. Lyons (4-1) also received consideration in Class 3A.
In the eight-player ranks, Little River (5-0) remains third in Division II, while Hutchinson Central Christian (4-1) is among the other teams receiving consideration.
