The Hutchinson Fire Department responded to a shed fire in the 100 block of West Fourth Avenue on Monday morning.

Fire Chief Jeremy Unruh said crews were dispatched at approximately 8:20 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, they found a storage shed fully engulfed in flames with downed power lines on the structure. Due to the electrical hazard, crews were unable to completely extinguish the fire and had to wait for Evergy personnel to arrive and disconnect power to the area.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
