Meroe Ann Graber |1929-2021|

Meroe Ann Graber, 92, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021 at Pine Village.  She was born January 9, 1929 in McPherson, Kansas, the daughter of Arthur and Alvina (Schrag) Krehbiel.

She graduated from McPherson High School.

Meroe was united in marriage to Harry E. Graber on November 24, 1949 at Eden Mennonite Church. 

She was a member of Eden Mennonite Church in Moundridge, where she was active in the Dorcas Society.  Meroe and Harry assisted with the Mennonite Disaster Service and the MCC sale for many years.  They also served in 1W Service in Colorado.

Meroe and her sister-in-law, Vera Krehbiel, purchased the fabric store from Alvina Krehbiel and became co-owners and operators of Family Needs and Notions in Moundridge.  She was a devoted homemaker and farmer’s wife.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Joe) Yoder of McPherson; eight grandchildren, Philip (Jeannie Roberts) Huff, Regina Kagle, Dustin (Amanda) Huff, Amanda (Chris) Kagle, Stacey Neufeldt, Steven Neufeldt, Yvonne Graber and Yulonda (Mark) Hartman; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and brother, Kerry (Nancy) Krehbiel of Hesston.

Meroe was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Graber; parents, Arthur and Alvina Krehbiel; son, Michael Graber; grandson, Luis Graber; four brothers, Arlan, Arthur, Don and Gene Krehbiel; and sister, Anita Buterbaugh.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Eden Mennonite Church, with burial following in the church cemetery.  Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to Pine Village or Good Shepherd Hospice in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, Kansas 67107.
