HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Board of County Commissioners in Reno County on Wednesday spent more than 40 minutes debating the allocation of up to $90,000 to allow the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce to join the MakeMyMove platform to attempt to bring new residents into Reno County.
According to the MakeMyMove site, MakeMyMove is a marketplace product that connects remote workers and other work-from-anywhere talent with communities that are attracting new residents.
The site helps workers find the right place, and helps communities build and promote programming to attract those workers.
MakeMyMove said at a previous meeting that they believe they can promise ten movers over a two year period.
