MOUNDRIDGE, Kan. — Grasshopper Mowers, the turf equipment brand sold worldwide and manufactured exclusively in Moundridge, earned the Dealer’s Choice Award 2024 for the Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) sector by the North American Equipment Dealers Association (NAEDA).

This is the company’s fourth Dealer’s Choice Award in the past decade.

Equipment dealers across the US and Canada are invited to participate in NAEDA’s annual Dealer-Manufacturer Relations survey, ranking manufacturers in 12 categories related to equipment, parts, warranties, and product support. Not only did Grasshopper earn the highest composite rating of all OPE manufacturers to be named “Dealer’s Choice,” Grasshopper also topped all OPE manufacturers in seven categories: Overall Satisfaction, Product Quality, Product Availability, Product Support, Parts Availability, Parts Quality, and Warranty Procedures.

“To earn the highest scores in these categories indicates our dealers’ appreciation that we offer products they feel proud to offer to their customers,” said Trent Guyer, VP of Marketing and Digital Strategy at Grasshopper. “The consistency we provide to dealers in the form of company stability, product quality, product longevity, product dependability, and customer satisfaction matters a great deal to dealers, and the 2024 rankings reflect that.”

Manufacturing a Grasshopper mower in Moundridge starts with machining and fabricating everything from the unit frames to the decks and most of the parts in-between. Next, humans and robots weld those parts together before they are powder painted for durability, all leading to final assembly and shipping to dealerships worldwide. Production is based on constant feedback from end-user customers, retailing dealers, distributors, and factory representatives, as has been the practice for decades.
