NEWTON — City of Newton tree trimming contractor, Alfred’s Tree Service, will trimming in the public rights-of-way next week in the area north of 12th Street.
The work will take several weeks to complete, weather permitting. The contractor will leave door notices for the affected properties at least 24 hours in advance.
This is a free service to Newton residents.
Two years ago, the City of Newton began bidding out tree trimming services for public rights-of-way to alleviate the burden for property owners.
The work concentrates on the area designated for street maintenance improvements in the upcoming year.
