
SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects in connection with a home burglary.
Just before 3a.m. February 4, police responded to a burglary in progress call at a home in the 400 block of North Minnesota Avenue in Wichita, according to officer Kevin Wheeler. Upon arrival, officers contacted the 50-year-old homeowner, who reported seeing someone inside the vacant home.
Officers searched the residence and located 31-year-old Andrew Hastings and 35-year-old Brandon Kennedy in the attic. They were arrested without incident. During the investigation, officers recovered some of the owner’s property inside a red Toyota Sienna associated with the suspects. Hastings was also found to be in possession of a prohibited weapon.

Hastings of Wichita is being held on requested charges of burglary, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal damage to property, and three city of Wichita outstanding warrants. Kennedy on is being held on requested charges of burglary and criminal damage to property, according to Wheeler.
Additionally, Hastings and Kennedy have previously been arrested for felony crimes.
The case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office.
