WASHINGTON — New First District Kansas congressman Tracey Mann has been selected to serve on the House Agriculture Committee.

On social media, Mann said, "When I ran for congress, I was very clear of my intentions to advocate for agriculture and our conservative Kansas values."

As a member of the House Ag committee, Mann, who grew up on a farm near Quinter said he looked forward to rolling up his sleeves and getting to work for Kansas farmers and ranchers.

"I think it's incredibly important that we think about the future and the current farm bill that expires in 2023. We've got to go advocate for our interests."

The House Agriculture Committee has not scheduled any meetings this week, according to their web site.
