Funeral services for Linda Kay Branson, 77, Lawrence, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2022, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. to service time Friday at Elliot Mortuary.
Linda died April 2, 2022, at LMH Health in Lawrence, in the company of her son and daughter-in-law.
She worked as a secretary at Bankers Investments, Hutchinson, until she married her husband and partner Charles Delmer Branson on May 22, 1969, in Alva, OK. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2016. Linda lived most of her life in Hutchinson, until her and Charles moved to Rockaway Beach, MO, in retirement.
She was born April 30, 1944, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Ed and Josephine (Wright) Neufeld.
Linda is survived by: her son, Charles (Kathy) Branson of Lawrence; sister, Joyce (Fred) Juhnke; brother, Rodney (Karen) Neufeld; stepsiblings, Rick Sands and Rose Harris; grandchildren, Chance and Grace Branson of Lawrence, and Jessica Soden of McPherson.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Ronald Branson; brothers, Eddie, Richard, and Jerry Neufeld; and stepsisters, Peggy Link and Pam Hughes.
Linda loved camping and fishing with Charles, crocheting, and running Karaoke, and often singing for the VFW in Forsyth, MO, where she was a member of the VFW Auxiliary for years.
