HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 35-year-old South Hutchinson man was killed in an accident Thursday night involving a single vehicle and the building at Mid-America Redi-Mix off of the intersection of Blanchard and Broadacres Road.
According to the Reno County Sheriff's Office, deputies were sent to the scene just after 10 p.m. The driver had been ejected from the vehicle.
The vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole causing the vehicle to go airborne. Upon landing, the driver was ejected and the vehicle came to rest at the southwest corner of the building.
The driver appeared to be buckled up. The name of the driver has not been released at the request of the family. The accident is still under investigation.
