HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson firefighters dealt with a couple of minor fire calls over the weekend.
The first was Friday evening, when crews responded just after 5 p.m. to 100 East 10th for a fire in a detached garage. The fire was quickly contained to the garage. Crews had to work around a live power line that had dropped in the alleyway from the fire coming off the building.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and no was hurt.
The second call was Sunday afternoon, fire crews worked a small brushfire that got into some hay bales in the 4300 block of Lorraine.
Lorraine was briefly closed from 43rd to 56th while crews worked Sunday.
