Evelyn Marie “Lynn” Miller, 97, of McPherson, died December 8, 2020, at the Cedars in McPherson. She was born July 3, 1923, in Hutchinson, to Henry and Gladys (Bobey) Lanning.

Lynn graduated from Hutchinson High School. She was a clothing buyer for Pegues Department Store, giving her the opportunity to travel all over the country. In their early days, Lynn and her husband loved to go dancing and spent most weekends at the Moose Lodge in Hutchinson. She loved bridge and played with many different groups. Family was the most important thing to Lynn.

On August 14, 1943, she married Donald Miller, in Tucson, Arizona. They shared 35 years together before he passed away on August 31, 1978.

Lynn is survived by:  son, Doug Miller, McPherson; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; husband, Don Miller; sisters, Ruby Snyder and Doris Griffin; and brother, Wilbur Lanning.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. Fourth Street, Hutchinson, KS  67501. Time for memories and reminisce with family and friends will follow from 1 to 3 p.m. at The Cedars Wellness Center in Banquet Room 2, 1021 Cedars Drive, McPherson, KS. Food will be provided. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, July 5th through Friday, July 9th, at Elliott Mortuary.
