The Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Division I and Heart of America held their league golf tournaments on Monday. Below are the results from the Hutch Post-area schools.
AVCTL Division I
WICHITA, Kan. — Hutchinson High School placed third in the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Division I boys golf championship Monday at Pine Bay Golf Course, finishing behind Maize South and Maize.
Maize South cruised to the team title with a score of 308, placing all six of its golfers in the top 10. The Mavericks were led by medalist Joe Binger, who shot a 3-over-par 73 to claim individual honors. Colten Hoover (76) and Conrad Parkhurst (77) followed closely to complete a dominant top-three sweep.
Hutchinson carded a team score of 349 to take third place, edging Derby (354) and Valley Center (356) in a tightly contested race. The Salthawks finished two strokes behind Maize (347), which finished in second. Senior Mitchell Rice led the Salthawks with an 84, tying for 10th overall. Tate England shot an 87, while Alex Haas (88), Landyn Powell (90), Kevin Wilson (93) and Maks Dreiling (93) rounded out the scoring for Hutchinson.

Heart of America
HESSTON, Kan. — Trinity Catholic claimed the Heart of America League boys golf championship in dominant fashion Monday at Hesston Golf Course, firing a team score of 310.
The Celtics placed all six golfers in the top nine, each earning first-team all-league honors. Lincoln Barnes claimed the individual title after defeating teammate Ian Shaw in a two-hole playoff after each shot a 4-over-par 75. This is the second straight HOA league title for Barnes. Trinity also received matching rounds of 80 from Miles Blaylock and Tyler Casebolt, while Seamus Hogan (86) and Matt Armour (87) rounded out a deep lineup that finished 42 strokes ahead of runner-up Sterling.
Sterling posted a 352 to take second place, led by Cameron Morris with an 83 and supported by Waylon Schmidt and Wyatt Newberry, who each shot 89. Lane Weigel added a 91.
Sedgwick finished fourth with a team score of 409, highlighted by Keighan Earles’ sixth-place finish at 85. Teammates Renley Eggleston (104), Wyatt ReQua (110), Abby Banta (110), and Nate Hansen (113) contributed to the Cardinals’ total.
Inman took fifth at 419. Braeden Stutzman led the Teutons with a 92, followed by Creighton Friesen (97) and Keetan McEuen (111).

Central Kansas League
PRATT, Kan. — The Pratt Greenbacks claimed the Central Kansas League boys golf title on Monday at Park Hills Golf Course. The Greenbacks were led by individual champion, Grant McAtee.
McAtee shot an even-par 72 to win individual honors, while teammates Beau Ferrell (77) and Quinton Humble (80) finished second and third, respectively, to help the Greenbacks finish 10 strokes ahead of runner-up Hesston (334).
Hesston placed three golfers in a tie for fourth. Austin Penner, Aiden Bridgeman and Eli Frantz all carded rounds of 82. Grant Waterson and Eli Roth each shot 88 to round out the Swathers’ scoring.
Halstead finished fifth in the team standings with a 388. Wesley Parks led the Dragons with an 87, good for eighth place overall. Maxx Linton shot 98 and Lance Anderson added a 99.
Nickerson placed seventh with a 434. Kyler Nikkel led the Panthers with a 103, followed by Addrick Nelson at 108 and Jacob Myers at 109.
Hoisington took third place as a team (358), led by Logan Cossel’s seventh-place 84 and two other top-15 finishers in Nolan Jacobs (87) and Karson Kinman (92). Hillsboro was fourth at 383, paced by Lincoln Wichert’s 91.
